It’s almost time to toast in the New Year and that means the team have been thinking about some of their favourite places in UK. Along the River Thames, London Embankment, the London Eye and Big Ben are always popular party places for people to see London’s New Years Eve fireworks display. Trafalgar Square is another iconic London destination where people gather to see in the New Year and celebrate together.
New Year’s Eve celebrations across the world
Where ever we live in the world, we love to see the big fireworks displays from our own capital city. We enjoy the display from the iconic Sidney Harbour Bridge in Australia and the New Year celebrations from Time Square in New York. Edinburgh always puts on a good show and let’s face it, Hogmanay in Scotland takes some beating! In recent years, we’ve come to expect something spectacular from Dubai and the Eiffel Tower in Paris is always a stunning backdrop for France’s festive fireworks.
So, as we begin to turn away from 2018 and look forward to all 2019 may bring, the team are taking this moment to share their three favourites for seeing in the New Year, whether it’s partying till the early hours or enjoying a thrilling dining experience to be savoured!
New Year’s Eve Parties in Edinburgh
The Hogmanay celebrations begin on 30 December and will last at least three days!
Hogmanay highlights in Edinburgh include a candlelit concert in St. Giles Cathedral and the famous Ceilidh under the Castle. This sees an exciting build-up to midnight and the fireworks display which showers down on revellers in Princes Street.
Macdonald Holyrood Hotel is seeing the New Year Eve in with style. The hotel is located in Edinburgh’s Old Town. It’s close to Arthur’s Seat and just a stone’s throw from all the New Year partying. Macdonald Holyrood Hotel starts the celebrations off with champagne on arrival and then a delicious tasting menu. Delegates receive tickets for the street party on Edinburgh’s famous Royal Mile too, so rewarding your team with a New Year party celebration to remember is simple!
If a smaller occasion celebrating the Hogmanay with a few colleagues or clients is preferred, Macdonald Holyrood Hotel can create the festive setting.
Enjoy champagne on the balcony of the Salisbury Suite. Dine in a private booth and enjoy an award-winning menu.
New Year’s Eve Parties in Birmingham
The team loves the Great Gatsby theme at Park Regis Birmingham for its New Year’s Eve party celebrations this year.
The black tie event welcomes delegates with fantastic star treatment! This begins with paparazzi snapping guests on the glitter carpet! Enjoy champagne and canapés, a five-course dinner and then dance the night away. With Birmingham’s skyline as the backdrop, we’re sure midnight will be a sparkling moment! And we’re confident it will be remembered long in to 2019.
New Years Eve in Manchester
The Midland is an iconic hotel in Manchester which has a rich history. The team love how a young Winston Churchill delivered a speech to the businessmen of Manchester titled The Fiscal Question. The historic hotel was the backdrop to the signing of the Rolls and Royce contract in the early 1900s too. If contracts for giants in motoring can be signed and prime ministers in waiting can deliver compelling speeches, then you know an event at The Midland is going to be memorable, magical and mesmerising!
New Years Eve at the Manchester hotel is billed as a Sparkle Ball. And the Findmeaconference team certainly know how to pick a venue which oozes style, sophistication and glamour!
The celebrations start with a festive afternoon tea with champagne. More champagne flows at a champagne and canapés reception before a superb four-course evening meal. Entertainment is from jazz and swing artist Paul Pashley. The Midland’s resident DJ provides the tunes to take guests through to the early hours of the New Year.
More party places for the New Year
The Village Hotel group always throws a good party. Expert in creating party nights, the group celebrates New Years Eve in many of its city hotels.
If you decide you really cannot see the 2019 in unless you attend a New Year’s Eve party in London , then you’ll find a huge range of hotels close to the action or further afield here.
And if you still can’t decide, this link has some hotel party venues from around the UK who will roll out the red carpet, pull the party-poppers and light the sparklers to make your New Year celebrations a starry occasion.
After the New Year’s Party!
The three hotels chosen by the team all provide state-of-the-art business facilities. These can include dedicated conference floors or business suites and on-site party planners and event organisers. Add in superb service and excellent delegate rates and the three venues are special any time of the year.
