The Beamish Hall creates a traditional backdrop for a wedding and can accommodate up to 80 guests for the wedding breakfast and 100 for the evening reception. The restaurant has a light and airy feel to it and has views over the garden. It’s a good space for an evening buffet or carvery for up to 150 guests.

Picking Your Wedding Day Package
Choose from three fantastic packages; Diamond, Sapphire and Ruby. All accommodate up to 40 day guests. Although the Diamond and Sapphire packages include the addition of 80 evening guests.
A dedicated wedding coordinator, master of ceremonies and room-hire are some of the essentials within each package. You can also expect a three-course wedding breakfast, drink packages and decorations too!
If you prefer a few more additions to your wedding day, then the Diamond package will be right for you. It includes a red carpet with rose petals which is a look lots of brides like. Plus one of the wedding party has a complimentary stay in a standard room the night before. You also have table centrepieces and decorations with this package.
If you’re looking for a 2019 wedding with a budget-friendly price then the hotel have a great solution! Wedding in a Box features all you need; an evening buffet, glass of sparkling wine for the toast and the use of grounds for photographs and all for a fixed cost of £1,300.
The hotel team are really helpful and flexible so if you did want to add in extras, these can be arranged for an additional cost. This could include an extra guest, balloon table clusters or arrival canapés.
Food inspiration for your Wedding
The head chef at Holiday Inn Washington has designed a selection of menus certain to tantalise guests taste buds! Choose from one of two set menus;
- Menu one: Prawn and brown shrimp cocktail, pickled cucumber and sourdough, mushroom stuffed loin of pork. Followed by chocolate and orange tart with salted caramel ice –cream.
- Menu two: Roasted tomato and lemongrass soup, roast beef, champ potato and roast vegetables with a mushroom sauce. Followed by a baked apple tart with a gingerbread crumb and lemon sorbet to finish.
In addition, a children’s menu is available and served with unlimited blackcurrant and orange squash during the wedding breakfast.
For the evening buffet, you can choose from a selection of dishes including cod and parsley fishcakes, sweet chorizo skewers and spiced chicken burrito. Sweet tooth fans will enjoy the mini éclairs and lemon meringue pie! If you prefer, you have the option to upgrade the dining packages to include a selection of drinks. This is ideal if you wish to offer prosecco, bottled beer and cider to your guests.
Also, for a summer wedding, the outside BBQ area at the hotel is another option for dining and this has the added bonus of the gorgeous rolling manicured lawns.
