There’s nothing easy in gaining the prestigious Meetings Industry Association (MIA) AIM Gold accreditation so sweeping to victory for a sixth consecutive year is a fantastic achievement for The Grand Brighton.
As the UK’s nationally recognised mark of excellence for accredited venues, the hotel underwent extensive assessment to ensure they met a comprehensive checklist of criteria and were found to exceed their targets.
Highlights in The Grand Brighton’s assessment
Accreditors noted the hotel’s commitment to improving and upgrading its facilities, alongside the strong brand values held by every staff member. The venue’s ongoing environmental commitments in line with its Corporate Responsibility Policy were also recognised – the hotel proudly holds a gold standard award from Green Tourism and has a 0% waste to landfill accreditation.
The hotel was also praised for its guest focused approach and attention to detail, with particular appreciation for the locally designed concierge uniforms which judges commended for enhancing the ‘excellent welcome
on arrival’.
Further recognised for highlighting the hotel’s uniqueness were the slices of Brighton rock in the conference rooms and interactive ‘Grand Moments’ QR codes, demonstrating the hotel’s pride in their history and their standing in the Brighton community.
Andrew Mosley, General Manager at The Grand Brighton commented:
“We are over the moon to have retained
our Gold level accreditation once again. The AIM Higher accreditation is unmatched in the meetings sector and
we are proud to have had our hard work recognised to cement our industry-leading status and hail our independent spirit.
“This is an extremely exciting year for the hotel, as we prepare to reveal the fresh new face of the 154 year old façade and continue shaping our unique legacy as a hotel ‘Like No Other’.”
