A hot chocolate station, lots of tasty toppings plus mini gingerbread people scouting around! The scene is set for successful winter meetings at Gilwell Park!
The world-famous scout organisation has its headquarters at Gilwell Park in Epping Forest. Dating back to 1754, the venue is the ultimate country retreat. It offers a combination of fantastic meeting and team-building facilities. Plus, it has the added bonus of being only a few minutes from Chingford Station making access to and from London easy.
The Winter Package
Along with gingerbread men and hot chocolate, the Winter Package at Gilwell Park includes full day hire of your chosen function room, flipchart, projector and screen, WiFi and a buffet lunch with fresh, homemade soup. With free parking too, the total package is just £50 per delegate, with a minimum of ten delegates.
The White House
This stunning Georgian building is the centrepiece of the park. It offers space for workshops, training days and brainstorming sessions. The understated design of the house encourages fresh thinking and creates an uncluttered environment for making big decisions. It also leaves organisers free to adapt and shape the space to work perfectly with their type of event.
Gilwell Park benefits from a purpose-built conference centre too. This has a maximum capacity of 250 delegates so is ideal for corporate celebrations as well as conferences.
The Gidney Cabin is a unique space for up to 20 delegates. With a log burner and an outdoor terrace, it’s an all weather hire room which is utterly enchanting.
Possibly our favourite room for hot chocolate, homemade soup and gingerbread men at this time of the year!
Team-building at Gilwell Park
Although the Winter Package at Gilwell Park doesn’t extend to team-building events, it’s impossible not to mention the expert – and fun – facilities available. With thousands of scouts from around the world attending jamborees at Gilwell Park you would expect the facilities to be first class. They don’t disappoint!
Making an impact on your colleagues or guests is going to be fun and fabulous with over 30 on-site activities available! Archery, abseiling, zip wires and a 3G swing guarantee there is something for everyone, whether its feet firmly on the ground or adrenaline seekers with a head for heights! Further activities can be incorporated too – just talk to the team!
The Scouts Association
Whether you’ve decided on the Winter Package or you’re going to book a spring time training day or summer team-building package, it’s good to know that any income generated from your event goes back to the Scouts. For over 100 years, the Scouting Association has been delivering opportunities and activities to millions of young people. Here’s to the next 100 years! And more gingerbread men please!
