To make the process easier, we’ve created an event location hotspot list that features five popular locations from 2019. Additionally, we have selected venues in these locations that are ideal for corporate events in 2020.
New Year Event Location Hotspot: Glasgow
The city of Glasgow is known for its stunning architecture and great culture. It’s home to over 20 different museums, numerous galleries and three universities. Glasgow can also boast being the city with the tallest cinema in the world at just 52 metres high! With attractions to appeal to delegates with leisure time, Glasgow makes it onto our New Year event location hotspot list.

This stylish hotel is located just minutes from Glasgow Central railway station, which is ideal for delegates commuting via train. The hotel offers 13 meeting rooms that have great flexibility for different room layouts. Delegates and event organisers have access to complimentary WiFi too. The Grand Ballroom can host up to 1,500 people in a theatre style layout. This is great for large conferences, award ceremonies and exhibitions. The Grand Ballroom is located on the ground floor and offers easy access for delegates. For daytime events, it has the benefit of natural daylight. New Year Event Location Hotspot: Birmingham
Next on our New Year event location hotspot list is Birmingham! Located in the West Midlands, this city benefits from a network of great road and rail transport links. This also includes its own historic network of canals that create a picturesque backdrop for events held in Birmingham.
The city can also boast having the third largest airport in the UK; perfect for international delegates flying in. Plus, because Birmingham is situated near the geographic centre of England, it’s a great location for delegates travelling from all points of the UK.
Birmingham Botanical Gardens
The Birmingham Botanical Gardens is a unique venue that boasts five stylish event spaces that are perfect for conferences, meetings and private dining. This venue also offers 15 acres of stunning gardens and glasshouses that make for a stunning backdrop for pictures at a private party. Plus there is onsite parking for people who are arriving by car too.
The Garden Suite can host up to 500 delegates attending a reception or networking event. And with a scenic entrance that takes delegates through the tropical houses that are home to a variety of beautiful flowers and plants, the scene is set for a flourishing event!
The Birmingham Botanical Gardens also has an award winning catering team; Ampersand offers a delicious delegate dining menu with dishes such as roasted cauliflower risotto for starters. For a main course, the loin of pork is a delicious alternative to finger food and certain to tempt sweet tooth fans is the white chocolate and raspberry torte!
New Year Event Location Hotspot: London
The capital city of the UK is served by great transport links with the tube, overground trains, a good road network and a choice of airports plus ferry crossings across the famous River Thames. London is well-known for its many tourist attractions, from Big Ben to the London Eye via West End theatres and Soho dining! Furthermore, a host of museums and galleries plus designer shopping and celebrity chef restaurants keep London at the top of many hotspot lists for millions of visitors.
Danubius Hotel Regents Park

Home to premiership football clubs Manchester City and Manchester United, this city has a wide variety of venues for corporate events. Furthermore, with the largest and busiest airport outside of London, Manchester is a good location for international delegates.

The Midland
The Midland hotel is located opposite Manchester Central and can boast a rich history of hosting events for over 100 years. It was was the scene for the crucial signing of the Rolls and Royce deal in the early 1900’s. Leeds is a busy city in the county of Yorkshire and has made its way onto our New Year event hotspot list because of its wide choice of venues, museums, sports stadia and hotels. With such variety, hosting a meeting, product launch, exhibition or conference in Leeds isn’t a challenge.

Royal Armouries and New Dock Hall

The New Dock Hall has space for 1,500 people attending a reception. In addition, there is space for 750 guests at a cabaret style event or even an award ceremonies.
